The first rule of the Afghan "war"

is you do not talk about the Afghan "war".
The second rule is : You DO NOT talk about the Afghan "war".
#3) You do not show up for the debate in Parliament if you are the Prime Minister.
#4) You do not meet the returning coffins.
#5) You do not fly the flag at half-mast on the Peace Tower to honour the dead.
#6) You do not allow images of flag-draped coffins of the dead.
#7) Fights will go on as long as they have to.

    Remember that story of his speaking to an American right wing think tank and telling them they were a "beacon of hope to the world." Of course he's copying everything Bush does.

    just drop the f'ing thing to half staff and leave it there until we get out for good. a permanent (but hopefully temporary) reminder to every Canadian of the stupidity of all this. Nothing stopping anyone from loosening the ropes and dropping the flag themselves
