Indeed a very good essay on what the Liberal Party could be .... could be, as opposed to never was ....
The Liberal Party is not in my definition liberal ... it was the Liberal icon Trudeau that campaigned on "No Wage and Price Controls" - defeated the supposedly reactionary Stanfield .... then promptly put them in force.

Lets not forget that it was the supposedly liberal LPC that slashed social spending and downloaded on the provinces, forcing them to download on municipalities.
A vicious act (sold with the great lie that we had hit the "debt wall" and were on the brink of bankruptcy) from which we still have not recovered.
The difficulty lies in getting across to liberals and Liberal Party supporters and bloggers that the Liberal Party does not support their values. Alison and PSA try. Personally I think it's a lost cause.
