Harper's Perps with Perks #17
Dean Del Mastro - Stephen Harper's Parliamentary Secretary, Ethics Committee appointee, and elections fraud pointman for the Cons in the HoC - shown here in cuffs as he went off to the big house today in shackles in a real life perp walk. He was convicted eight months ago on four counts of Elections Canada charges and trying to cover it up.
"Why, Mr. Speaker, why?" he wailed in the HoC two years ago before resigning the Con caucus to keep his pension intact.
Sentenced today to a month in prison plus four months house arrest and eighteen months probation, he will probably be out again tomorrow on appeal of both his sentence and conviction.
"I'm prepared to do whatever is necessary to stand for the truth," he explained to reporters today.

Heh. Nice rearrangement-Steve not looking too pleased with his accountability and ethics protégé.
Could this be one step closer to the Don walking the walk?
And on Cbc wanker Andrew Coyne thought that the purp walk for this piece of dog shit was "over the top".Really??
Maybe Coyne would have been happier with a red carpet.
I actually checked your blog and thought it hadn't been updated, the frequency of perps is astounding!
Del Monstro really deserves his own special edition card, perhaps a fimbriated sector for pre~ or post-conviction. Could an official mugshot say it any better than Alison's Perp Walk? Nuh-uh!
Oh, and Steve's who-farted-grimace is a touching addition!
Can't wait for the next instalment.

So Arthur Porter has died. No trial for him.

CBC analysis on Arthur Porter:
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/arthur-porter-s-death-in-panama-leaves-lingering-questions-about-mcgill-extradition-1.3134957
Holly : So a member of the Privy Council Office is afraid to return to Canada and better fancies his chances dying alone of cancer in a foreign prison and that was just fine with Harper.
"His Panamanian lawyer, Ricardo Bilonick Paredes, was more blunt. Canada was "allowed to do in Panama with the constitution and laws of Panama, [that] which they could not do in Canada," he told CBC News.
"If you deny him [his day in court, knowing he has cancer], you might think he would die in the process."
As for bringing the extradition process to a resolution, Paredes said, "they have not shown any interest."
Sources in Canada have told CBC News as much — that the federal government had little interest in bringing Porter back."
Quebec police would like proof of death please, says LaPresse

Someone tweeted this 2013 article by Stephen Maher about Porter; Gilles Duceppe wrote a warning which Harper ignored:
