He's a lumberhack - it isn't ok

He hides all night and he hides all day.
He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps
Between Canfor, Cons, and Libs.
The softwood deal is not one,
It's two with lots of fibs.
The Gazetteer has three great posts in a row explaining the softwood lumber deal that isn't.

As a reformed tree butcher cum tree hugger who happens to be gay - I love your reference to the old Monty Python skit. One remembers the chorus of Horsemen enthusiastically singing along until it slowly dawns on them that there's something rather 'queer' about the whole deal. How very, very appropriate!

Macadavy : "queer about the deal"!
Ha! I never thought of that.

Scout : Never mind your legendary underwear fixations right now, you're the lyrics girl - do a better verse.

sheesh, ya didn't have to come over to my place late last night to convince me to add to your lyrics of mass destruction!!! here goes:

Chorus:
He's a lumberjack and he's O.K.
He hides all night and he hides all day (repeat)

He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch
He goes to the lavaTORY
On Wednesdays he goes shopping
And eats Volpe's babies.

Chorus

He cuts down trees, he lies and thumps
He likes the press to shower
He puts on women's clothing
And charges by the hour.

Chorus

He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps
Between Canfor, Cons, and Libs.
The softwood deal is not one,
It's two with lots of fibs.

Chorus

He cuts down trees, likes to lie
His brain is of softwood
So let's set up a deal
To Nafta his mind as 'goods'.
(what? no takers?)

Chorus

Regardless the actual undergarments involved, looking at that image I couldn't help but wonder about the physiological effects caused by the suspender-assisted extreme elevation of the trousers.....
