I guess we'll be seeing a Canadian Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Islamophobia any time now then.

Coincidentally Pat Robertson was also carrying on on his 700 Club show yesterday about Islam being bent on world domination.

Those are a couple of relevant selections from the 'Perception Alteration' collection. Debunking is under 'Religion'.
I pointed thwap to the index at http://my.opera.com/oldephartte/blog/ where these two sections are under 'Collections Forwarded to Blogger'

Any devout Muslim is obliged to follow the teachings of the Quran

Qur'an (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Qur'an (9:30) - "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!"

and so on...

As any devout Christian is expected to follow the teachings of the Bible, which contains a lot worse than your quotes from the Quran. We could trade quotes all day.
How does it help us to pretend any group is some homogenous monolithic other entity?
I'm sure in your life you know many Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and atheists who are good human beings. What category do we put them in?
