Wednesday update : CBC :
"When he announced the motion, Woodworth had argued he was simply interested in updating the law to agree with 21st century medicine. But speaking to Radio-Canada on Monday, he admitted his motion is linked to abortion..
"It certainly allows us to have an honest discussion about the abortion question. How can we honestly discuss all of the complicated issues around abortion if we cannot decide whether or not a child is a human being before the moment of the complete birth?" Woodworth said."

Where did you find that pledge your talking about??
Frakkin' Cons.
Anon : It's a questionnaire sent out to prospective MPs by : "Campaign Life Coalition - The Political Arm of Canada's Pro-Life Pro-Family Movement".
There's a page from it in the middle of this post.
It's not new and there were actually more like 109 anti-choice MPs in the last elction afaik from Joyce at ARCC.
But with so much attention on Woodie, I thought I'd remind he has a lot of already declared support for that committee made up of a majority of Cons he's asking for.
Michael : Frakkin'-it's a Cylon thing.! ;-)
Thanks Alison Great work as always
I signed the petitions, I've written the letters, etc. The short & the long of it is herr harper & his neo cons have a majority & will do as they please. There is nothing we can do about it. they will be in power for 4 more yrs. We might try slowing things down but if they are still in power after these 4 yrs are up so will be Women's Rights.
e.a.f. is right. As one American wrote: "In Canada, parliamentary government permits one man to rule as a de facto dictator."
harper sets back the women's movement 40 years.
